Ao Bing is a character originating from the classic Chinese novel, *Investiture of the Gods* (also known as *Fengshen Yanyi*). He is the third son of the Dragon King of the East Sea, Ao Guang.
Ao Bing first appears relatively early in the narrative. He is portrayed as arrogant and tyrannical, abusing his power and position to bully ordinary people.
His most notable act is his conflict with the child deity Nezha, leading to a confrontation in which Nezha ultimately defeats and kills Ao Bing. This incident sparks a larger conflict between Nezha's family and the Dragon King, setting in motion further events within the story.
